Users review: Last week I saw the American race and could not understand why the critics raved about it so much. Yesterday I saw a railroad worker and can not understand why the critics were so dismissive. His story about the time one of the great horrors of the Second World War. RAIL man leaning lacks the grandeur of the famous epic, but I suspect that the performance of Alex Guinnesss seem very fair and screen acting modern standards. Anyway, Colin Firth gives the performance a little less power (and Nicole Kidmans part gives him very little to work with), but Jeremy Irvine is a reliable stress during the war Lomax, quietly heroic and defiant. Fear of forced labor that built railroads and merciless brutality of Japanese troops passed both bright and last manages to be without sharp jumps in mawkishness.This is a wonderful film, serious, but very watchable. In principle, it may be more rigid, more wild, but it can be difficult to sit through.
