Users review: Edge of Tomorrow (EOT for me) will be the most surprising blockbuster of this year (maybe along with X-Men: Days of Future Past) for doing its job so well that beats every expectation about what it has to offer. A storyline about one man that is shown to us doing the same things every time could be dull. But EOT has a thoughtful script full of turns and fun that entertains and allows to Cruise to do new things inside that particular Groundhog Day.I wont spoil anything because the movie is full of valuable twists, surprisingly good chemistry between Cruise and Emily Blunt (Full Metal B**ch) and it has an involving script aside of the spectacular action sequences. The first one in the movie is totally amazing. But the rest is as that good. The movie clearly develops in the action and the riveting pace. It offers what a great blockbuster should be and it reaches that superb goal.Also Tom Cruise gives his best performance in so many time. Maybe, Im not joking, this is his best performance ever. For the first time he is not doing an smiling hero. He is a coward. He is a scared and inexperienced soldier who has to learn to be more skillful (and to escape from his personal loop) every time he returns to the same day. And Cruise is wonderful in that role. You really dont recognize him. Forget his frequent smiling, his heroic or possible macho topics. This could be a new and groundbreaking role inside his career even if you are not a big fan of him (Im not going as far as saying that this is his best movie or the most enjoyable one of all, but this movie could be one of his best ones too). And when a movie has a star doing his job properly and much better than expected, a great script and a riveting pace (the movie is never boring) the whole concept has the job done. And thats the case of EOT. Also the stellar performances from Bill Paxton and Brendan Gleeson are truly good.In fact Im glad that this one came after Oblivion. That one was good, but this one is different and much better. Dont expect Oblivion 2 or its same style because you will be wrong.Please, trust me and go to the theater to enjoy this wonderful, original and surprising entertainment. It delivers much more than you could expect, delivers the best Cruise (in so many time that I personally think that this is Cruise at his best) and delivers a clever story with a good twist. Enjoy!

Users review: I enjoyed this film because it had amazing animation and I loved the characters. If you like airplanes, you will love this fun Disney film. This is an animated Disney film about a Plane named Dusty Crophopper whom wanted to join the Fire and Rescue team to save the town he lives in. There are also funny moments that everyone will enjoy. Disney has done a great job with the characters and their personalities because they are fun and enjoyable. I also think that this film is just as fun as Cars. I love watching Disney animated films because they are my favorite movies to watch and they will always be classics for generations. I loved this movie and I want to see it again. I hope that everyone will enjoy it too.

Users review: We got to get over this hump.Very Good Girls was on my radar ever since I heard it was debuting in last years Sundance Film Festival. The reason I was attracted towards this despite not knowing anything about the plot was the cast. It starred Elizabeth Olsen who Ive been a fan of ever since Martha Marcy May Marlene and Dakota Fanning who I think hasnt matched that same potential she had as a child actress. The supporting cast included Demi Moore, Peter Sarsgaard, Clark Gregg, and Richard Dreyfuss so I was really looking forward to what they could do. This was also the feature film debut from director Naomi Foner who had written a couple of screenplays in the past, but is best known for being the mother of the talented actors, Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal. You would never guess this screenplay was written by a woman considering these young teenage girls have no personality and their entire lives seem to revolve around this guy they met at a beach. He is the only thing they talk about and both girls end up falling for him, which is pretty much the basic theme of this film as their friendship is tested by their personal feelings towards him. Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen play these young girls who want to lose their virginity before going to college. The guy they both fall for is played by Boyd Holbrook and I really wasnt a huge fan of his performance. I couldnt see why these girls would fall for him as he lacked personality and wasnt really charming either. Both Fanning and Olsen come from very different families. Olsens parents are played by Richard Dreyfuss and Demi Moore who are very talkative and liberal, while Fannings parents are played by Clark Gregg and Ellen Barkin and they are much more reserved. The parents dont get much screen time so they werent really developed very well and all the information we gather from them is through the conversations the two girls have about how they view them (which is almost entirely negative). So that was a big let down for me because I was interested in what these actors could bring to the drama. There is nothing really that engages the audience since none of the characters have any personality whatsoever and not even the love triangle seems too appealing due to the lack of romantic chemistry. The film is only 90 minutes long but it seemed to drag forever and the score didnt help out either. I was hugely disappointed by Very Good Girls and I understand now why it took so long to reach a wider audience after the Festival. Unfortunately the talented cast is wasted in this film and not even my appreciation for Elizabeth Olsen engaged me. I didnt even like her character very much here and much less the rest of the cast. Olsen has to find better roles because her latest films havent exploded her potential very well. I was amazed to see how little Demi Moore and Richard Dreyfuss were used in this film; there could have been a better movie somewhere if they were given more importance. The lack of personality from any character just makes this film even more boring and tedious. There have been so many good coming of age films over the past year that this film simply fails to reach the bar that was set so high by Kings of Summer, The Way Way Back, and The Spectacular Now. This could have been an opportunity for two strong female leads but they simply didnt have much to work with.

Users review: Wes Anderson is one of the most original film makers working today. None of his films can be categorized into any particular genre. His latest, The Grand Budapest Hotel, which opened the Berlin Film Festival, continues that trend. It is a tale within a tale within another tale. Whilst every shot has been meticulously arranged as though a work of Art hanging in a museum, story wise Anderson has let his imagination run wild. Though the tale (with Tom Wilkinson as the author of the story) and the tale within the tale (with Jude Law as the young author & F Murray Abraham as the mysterious owner of THe Grand Budapest Hotel) have straightforward narratives, the tale within the tale within the tale, which comprises the bulk of the film and is set in the years preceding the Second World War, is a wild uproarious train ride of story telling. It also boasts the cast of a life time: Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Harvey Keitel, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson & countless cameos. It will delight Anderson fans but is more likely destined for Art house cinemas as it is too off center for mainstream audiences. The production design and music are outstanding and even the end credits are imaginatively done (and received another ovation from the audience).

Users review: I am utterly appalled by how horrendous this movie is. I honestly cannot wrap my mind around how this thing got made (or at least got released in this condition). The movie starts with a plot line that you couldnt care less about. Remember Peters parents from the first movie? No, well thats because no one cared about them. Thankfully we get to see even more of their completely intriguing back story here... just kidding. It sucks a lot. The opening scenes involving them are plagued with horrible acting, choppy editing, poor directing, and bad, clichéd dialog. In fact, this trend continues through a lot of the movie.Scenes involving Paul Giamatti and his horrible Russian accent are laughable. He seems to have just stepped out of a cartoon. I know this is a comic book movie, but even in the fun world they are trying to create this just doesnt fit. I see what they wanted to do but this scene is just so poorly done. Spider-Man is just not that funny, and again it seems to be choppily edited and poorly written. Even Gwens decent speech(which way too obviously foreshadows her death) is ruined by putting stupid action sequences over it.A similar scenario comes up with Jamie Foxxs Max Dillon. He seems to be confused about what movie he is in. Imagine if you multiplied Jim Carreys Riddler from Batman Forever ten-fold. That is Foxxs character here. The performance and dialog is truly cringe-worthy, and he has absolutely no motivation for anything he does other than the fact that hes crazy and loves Spider-Man (that is until he forgets his name). The Osborn family is just as bad. As Norman dies, he tells his son Harry (who we are somehow supposed to give a crap about) that he has the same disease. The whole scene is pretty bad and although they try to explain away why they spend their last moments together fighting and why they make a teenager the head of a company, that doesnt make it better. By the time Harry and Electro decide to work together (shocker…), the movie really just becomes so horribly awful it is beyond repair. Almost every scene becomes just so laughable and the ones that arent have a completely different tone. Its like five different people directed the movie. It has no idea if it wants to be serious or not. Then, with only thirty minutes left of the movie, we get this whole scene that seems to only exist to set up a Sinister Six spin-off and make Harry the Green Goblin just so he can kill Gwen and leave room for a new leading actress in a sequel. Electro and Green Goblin are then both easily defeated (and put to the side immediately afterward), and although they try to show that Peter doesnt want to fight Harry it doesnt really work because we only just became aware of their relationship. There are a couple funny lines here and there, but everything is just so uninteresting. Harrys search for a cure is boring because he is essentially a stranger and no one even seems interested in it (especially Dane DeHaan), everything involving Electro is frustrating to watch, all of Aunt Mays scenes are poor because Sally Field seems to just be phoning it in, and even Peter and Gwens relationship begins to become boring and repetitive. Everything in the movie exists only to move the plot along. And at times it seems its not even trying to move this movies plot forward but instead step up sequels and spin-offs. Everything in the movies plot is connected but not because its a smart film, but because it is relying on coincidence. I honestly cant explain how bad many of these scenes are. Throughout it, you keep asking... Was that really the best take? Were those really the best lines you could have possibly written? Was any of this even scripted? Like did you intend to make a film or did it just kind of happen accidentally and you figured hey just stitch all this random crap together and add in some CGI...It will be fine? Users review: Mr. Ron Howard is a great story teller, this movie is about human nature, love and tears.It is difficult to make a good movie about car racing, especially to make one for the time period from 1970 to 1976. I dont know how they did it to bring those old F1 cars back to life. You will feel like you are really there watching the racing, its really unbelievable.It is truly touching to see each character played their perfect role for this movie, Chris Hemsworth did a great performance, he is such a talented and devoted actor. Daniel Brühl also did a great job on portraying the eccentric and unsociable legendary F1 driver Niki Lauda.A great movie is like having a great meal, a good starter, a good soup/salad, a good main course and a good dessert, well balanced. Rush is that good meal, its a fun ride!I have to say I really enjoyed watching this movie. Thank you Mr. Ron Howard for making this masterpiece.

My family came away happy, my son is still mentioning how funny it was.I wont go into detail like most, all I will say is that the whole theater was laughing hard and loud throughout most of the movie, which is what most people want when they go see a comedy, to laugh NOT think.For those that already know Melissa McCarthy, you know what to expect and you will not be disappointed. Add Susan and Kathy and I dont see how you can go wrong. I really think people are putting too many expectations on this.If you dont know Melissa McCarthy then you must live under a rock lol. Users review: What a piece of crap wannabe blockbuster . If it was not by the fact I got free tickets for the premiere, I would be p***ed off to waste my money in vain. Well, my time was wasted anyway...The plot is the epitome of stupidity: shallow characters and a predictable story made me wonder what the director was thinking. The history of Pompeii and its fate was completely ignored (I have visited Pompeii myself) - the tsunami scene was only one of the non sense historical goofs. The movie end is absolutely stupid and I was relieved it finally ended. If you want to waste your time, this is the perfect opportunity.

Users review: I went to a screening of the F Word at the Toronto International Film Festival and I can say I had a good time (I can also say that Daniel Radcliffe is much much shorter in person than what you would expect.) I wasnt sure what the story was or what type of movie it would be and from the director of Goon and Fubar, I probably wouldnt have expected a romantic comedy, but as it turns out it was and I quite enjoyed it. The film tells the story of Wallace (Daniel Radcliffe) and Chantry (Zoe Kazan) who meet at a party when Wallace finally gets over being dumped over a year ago and goes back into the world. He soon finds out that Chantry has a boyfriend but the two of them decide theyll give a go at being friends. Both characters are somewhat awkward and seem to have little friends outside of Allan (Adam Driver) and Nicole (Mackenzie Davis). Their best friends are common friends but for some unknown reason they had never met before, probably due to Wallace being somewhat emotionally unstable and completely shut off in his apartment for months on end. The film is predictable overall but still brings some fresh moments. I absolutely love Adam Driver and he plays more or less the same character he plays on Girls but it was great to see him here. The characters are lovable in their awkwardness and shyness and you do hope for them to get together. Theyre also quite believable. Wallace was in med school but dropped out (still because he got dumped honestly, Wallace cant really handle being dumped) and now works at an alienating low end job, while Chantry has that girl next door look and works in an animation studio, with pressure to accept a promotion shes not sure she wants. The film is cute for sure, but also really funny at times. Im not a huge fan of Daniel Radcliffe to begin with, having seen him only in the obligatory Harry Potter series and the Woman in Black but he was quite good, and different. Its a bit slow but I cant say that was an issue for me. Toronto is featured a lot as the film was shot and takes place there (for once, theyre not pretending its New York) so it was great to see the city.While there is no release date set, the director said the movie should come out around Valentines Day so by all means, if youre looking for a fun comedy to watch, go see it. Its way better than most movies that come out for the holiday and its one I believe both women and men will enjoy.

Users review: So it seems JJ Abrams has traded in too many lens flares for too many closeups. The working title of Star Trek Into Darkness could probably have been Chris Pines Facial Pores. Seriously JJ - there is such a thing as long and middle shots too you know, and whats more - if you use them - when you *do* use a closeup, it has more dramatic effect, just sayin...Anyway, directorial style flaws aside, my big gripe with STID is that its just another sci-fi movie. What always set Trek apart was that Roddenberry created an enlightened future, a refreshing change of pace to most sci-fi, and the conflict therefore had to come from cleverer places. But with this reboot every character is constantly bickering, I frankly left the theater with a headache as if Id just been to a teenage kids birthday party. I can get bickering, and grit, and violence from *any* sci-fi feature, and sadly now it seems like Trek has followed suit and lost its original edge. Its not until the very final minute where a little bit of the original Trek feel is re-established, but for me that was far too little, far too late.Theres some giant plot holes too, if youre actually thinking about whats going on. It seems like Abrams hoped that if he put enough glitz and dazzle on the screen, most people would entirely miss the fact that they are there. I guess his gamble was correct, since the film is currently standing at an 8.4 IMDb score.Its not all bad. Benedict Cumberbatch is an incredible, intense villain and the film is worth seeing for his performance alone. And as with the first, the rest of the cast is exceptional. Theres nothing wrong with the acting, music, or look of this film... just a lot wrong with the script and the tone of the whole thing. If youre not a Star Trek fan, youll likely enjoy it... its big, frenetic, popcorn munching silliness. But if you are a Trek fan, particularly of the quieter explorations of the human condition that TNG did so well, then you might be pretty disappointed.
